Tip: activate fingerprint identification or facial recognition for easy use of the app.

No. The PostFinance TWINT App can only be linked to a PostFinance private account.

The yellow PostFinance TWINT App is the direct link to your PostFinance account or credit card. It’s therefore only available to PostFinance customers who have registered with the PostFinance Card and the yellow card reader. The TWINT prepaid app will remain an independent prepaid app.

Yes, this is possible. You can install and use several TWINT Apps from several banks on the same smartphone.
For the P2P function (send/receive money), the most recently installed app is used automatically to receive the money (which you can adjust in the app settings).

Yes. You can now add several accounts to your PostFinance TWINT App. To do so, click on the three dots/lines in the top corner of the app and then select “Account & credit card”.

You can receive a maximum of CHF 4,000 per calendar month. The limit cannot be adjusted. The amount of money you can send depends on what your available account balance is.

Account linking: a maximum of CHF 5,000 can be used for payments per calendar month. Credit card: the limit depends on what the credit card’s limit is.

Click on the three dots/lines in the top corner of the app and then select “Account & credit card”. You can then link other PostFinance accounts to the TWINT App and select the account to be debited or credited for TWINT transactions.

As Apple currently provides the NFC interface only for its own payment system, TWINT uses the alternative connection option via QR code.

To close your Account click on the three dots/lines in the top right corner of the app and select "Close PostFinance TWINT account".
In order for a PostFinance TWINT account to be closed, there must be no pending transactions. You can find your pending transactions in “Transactions -> Show all”.
Please note that automated payments (e.g. if you have stored PostFinance TWINT as a payment method in the SBB app) will be cancelled.
Cancellation of your PostFinance TWINT account is permanent and cannot be reversed.
