You can convert the collected SmartPoints into credit and transfer them to your PostFinance account.

For participation in the SmartPoints bonus programme, the following preconditions apply:

  • You are a PostFinance customer
  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You have a PostFinance private account and an e‑participation (PostFinance App or e-finance)
  • Your place of residence is in Switzerland or Liechtenstein

Open SmartPoints bonus programme

You don’t need an additional app for the bonus programme. Register for the bonus programme in the PostFinance App (Offers > Products) or in e-finance (under Products). You can register for the bonus programme easily and free of charge on both of these platforms.

Collect SmartPoints

You automatically collect SmartPoints every time you make a purchase with your PostFinance Card, PostFinance TWINT (maximum 100 SmartPoints per purchase) or PostFinance credit card. You will continue to benefit from the same cashback calculation as before for payments made with the PostFinance credit card.

Redeem SmartPoints

You can redeem your SmartPoints easily in the PostFinance App or on the “Redeem” subpage in the “Bonus programme” section in e-finance. You can easily have the SmartPoints transferred to your PostFinance account as cash via cashback. The payment will be made in francs to the account from which fees (e.g. account fees) are debited.

Transfer SmartPoints

To be able to give SmartPoints as a gift in the PostFinance App or in e-finance, two preconditions must be met:

  1. the recipient must also be a participant in the SmartPoints bonus programme.
  2. You will need this person’s bonus programme ID. This can only be communicated to you by the person concerned.

A maximum of 50,000 SmartPoints can be given as a gift at any one time.

  • Registration for the bonus programme is free and straightforward. To do so, log in to the PostFinance App or e-finance and then navigate to “Products” in e-finance and to “Offers” in the app.

  • After successfully registering for the bonus programme, you will automatically collect SmartPoints: when using your PostFinance Card, PostFinance credit card or PostFinance TWINT, when subscribing to various products, and at special times as a reward for your loyalty. You also have the opportunity to earn additional SmartPoints by actively taking part in challenges and prize draws as part of the bonus programme. A detailed list of SmartPoints collection options can be found under “Here’s how it works”.

  • You can redeem your SmartPoints easily and conveniently on the “Redeem” subpage in the “Bonus programme” section in the PostFinance App or in e-finance. You can have the SmartPoints transferred to your PostFinance account as cash via cashback. The payment will be made in francs to the account from which fees (e.g. account fees) are debited.

  • If you want to convert your SmartPoints into credit and have them paid out to your account as cashback, 1,000 SmartPoints correspond to 1 franc. If you have your SmartPoints paid out to a foreign currency account, the amount will be converted from Swiss francs into the account currency at the applicable daily rate and then credited.

  • To transfer SmartPoints, you need the bonus programme ID of the person who is to receive the gift. This can only be communicated to you by the person concerned. You can find the bonus programme ID on the main page next to your point balance or on the “Transfer” subpage in the bonus programme in the PostFinance App or in e‑finance.

  • Yes, participation with a private foreign currency account is possible. If you have your SmartPoints paid out to a foreign currency account, the amount will be converted from Swiss francs into the account currency at the applicable daily rate and then credited.

  • Yes, you can also collect SmartPoints if you pay with your PostFinance TWINT App (maximum 100 SmartPoints per purchase). Please note that transfers to other TWINT users are excluded.

  • Yes, if you have a partner account, you can also take part in the bonus programme with this account.

  • Yes, you can also take part in the bonus programme with multiple business relationships. However, a separate registration is required for each business relationship. For this, log in to the PostFinance App or e-finance, access the bonus programme and select the relevant business relationship in the overview using the drop-down menu that opens. The SmartPoint credit is generally managed separately, but can be transferred between business relationships (see “Can I transfer SmartPoints?”).

  • SmartPoints are generally credited to you when your purchase has been booked. The time taken for transactions to be credited and processed varies depending on the merchant. After booking, it takes a moment for the transactions in the bonus programme to be rewarded with SmartPoints. If no SmartPoints are received despite this waiting time, you can contact our Customer Service at +41 58 448 14 14.

  • Yes, payments to gambling accounts, cash withdrawals, TWINT transfers to other users and debits for fees, interest and charges in particular are excluded from the bonus programme.

  • If you wish to unregister from the bonus programme, you can do so in the PostFinance App under “More” > “My products” or in e-finance under “Profile and settings” > “Profile”. It is important to redeem the SmartPoints you have collected before you unregister, as your SmartPoints will irrevocably expire after you unregister.

  • Before you definitively unregister, you will be informed that your SmartPoints will expire when you unregister and can no longer be redeemed. The data in the bonus programme cannot be recovered – you will no longer be able to access it.

  • SmartPoints are valid until the end of the following year (example: SmartPoints that you collect between 1 January and 31 December 2026 are valid until 31 December 2027). The bonus programme overview always shows you how many SmartPoints will expire at the end of the current year.

    Important: transferred SmartPoints also retain their original validity date.
