Digitization and AI: the seven areas of action for your SME

With our seven areas of action, find out how you can drive forward your company’s digital transformation in a targeted manner and fully exploit its potential.

  • An SME requires at least a business account and a debit card for daily payments. We also recommend a company credit card for worldwide travel and business expenses. A separate account for reserves is a good idea and, if business is conducted abroad, so is a foreign currency account.

Useful information: a business account is required by law for SMEs with the legal form of limited liability companies and private limited companies. A separate business account is not mandatory for sole proprietorships, but is recommended to ensure a clear distinction between business and private expenditure.

  • There are two aspects regarding successful liquidity management for SMEs: firstly, it is important to ensure solvency at all times in order to remain capable of acting. Secondly, it is important to use surplus funds in a targeted, risk-adjusted and planned manner. Investments may be an option worth exploring.

    More on improving liquidity

    More on investing liquidity

  • With an invoice solution from PostFinance, you send us your invoices digitally and we send them on for you either as eBills to your private customers’ e-banking, as B2B e-invoices directly to your business partners’ ERP or as paper invoices to the desired recipients with Paper Bill. The advantage for you: you submit your invoices digitally via the same interface directly from your software or via our invoice portal (e-invoicing portal). Our invoicing solutions are suitable for SMEs with small and large invoice volumes.

  • Yes. Our B2B e-bill for invoice receipt provides the foundation for end-to-end digital processing. The invoice data is transferred to your ERP system in a structured manner, allowing you to shape the subsequent process steps in your ERP efficiently and automatically – from approval to archiving.

  • With our Checkout payment collection solutions, you can accept a wide range of payment methods at the payment terminal in your shop or restaurant, in your online shop or a combination of in-store and online outlets. You decide for yourself whether you want to conclude an acceptance agreement for all common payment methods with us or whether you want to negotiate the acceptance agreements yourself.

  • Plug-ins or connected services make it easy to integrate our Checkout payment collection solutions in your online shop into the usual shop systems.

You can find a list of the most common compatible shop systems on our product page.

Go to the “Checkout in the online shop” product page (see tab “Compatible shop systems”)

Is your shop system not listed? We would be happy to help you further at checkout@postfinance.ch.

  • The transaction details and credits for all payment methods are consolidated in Checkout and can be used for accounting via export.

We value our collaboration with PostFinance as a local partner with whom we can communicate quickly and directly.
