  • Internal Audit Specialist

“PostFinance impressed me even during the application process for the trainee position. The process and all the communication were clear, understandable and friendly. That was also my experience during my trainee year. I completed my trainee year in Internal Auditing (IR). My team and the other employees I worked with were always very open and helpful. The discussions among the trainees were also very valuable and helped me to get to know new departments and perspectives. In addition, we had various workshops as a group that enabled us to develop both professionally and personally. As a trainee in IR, I was able to take on responsible tasks right from the start and received very individual support and guidance. As part of the auditing activities, I had the opportunity to gain an insight into various departments and their processes at PostFinance. As well as specialist audits, I was able to carry out data analyses for audits in my team, which is responsible for data analysis and digital transformation, and conduct topic-related training for the entire IR team. I always felt that my work was appreciated, which is why I was very pleased to be offered a permanent position after completing my trainee year. I am currently working as a specialist in Internal Auditing. I will enrol at university for my Master’s degree in the autumn. PostFinance gives me a lot of flexibility, so I will be able to reduce my workload accordingly.”

  • Risk Management expert

Having been instantly captivated by the openness and friendliness of the PostFinance staff at a graduate job fair in autumn 2018, I actually ended up becoming a trainee in risk management a few months later in Bern. From the very first day, I was able to give my own opinion on a number of really interesting finance-related topics, and even take on some responsibility for individual sub-projects. I was both challenged and encouraged in equal measure and was able to acquire the specialist and personal skills required for my current position as an interest-rate risk manager. In this role, my colleagues and I monitor the interest differential business on a daily basis and look for ways in which PostFinance can profitably invest the customer deposits entrusted to it on the capital markets. The trainee programme was the perfect preparation for this challenging job.”
