Programme schedule

One year, two exciting placements and many different projects. Our trainee programme lays the foundation for your career and helps you to discover which direction you’d like to develop in.

During your trainee programme, you’ll gain an in-depth understanding of two departments, spending six months in each. Your application determines the first placement. You then decide on the second one. You also have the opportunity to spend 20 percent of your time working on and driving forward projects outside of your placements. Here you can choose between exciting projects from the entire PostFinance world, giving you the chance to find out what you’re really interested in.

Targeted workshops and your personal training budget will help you to continue developing, both professionally and personally. By completing a wide range of tasks, you’ll have the best opportunities to network with others and to benefit from the knowledge of many different employees from various departments. You decide what your year at PostFinance will look like – based entirely on your interests.

Areas of application for the start in September 2026

Apply now for one of our four trainee positions.

  • As a trainee in Corporate Communications, you will take on responsibility from the outset. You’ll work on topics that actually have an impact on the public perception of PostFinance, on employee trust and on the positioning of a bank that is relevant to over two million customers. You’ll learn how communication works as a strategic management tool, and not just how to write texts. You understand how topics are prioritized, what messages affect what target groups and why communication today needs to measure impact and not just reach.
