Participation in the PostFinance Ltd (hereinafter PostFinance) promotion is governed by the conditions detailed below. By taking part in the promotion, participants accept these conditions of participation.
Conditions of participation: 50 francs credit when new customers open a Smart or SmartPlus banking package
Anyone who applies for a Smart or SmartPlus banking package with PostFinance between 6 July and 16 August 2026 will receive credit in the amount of 50 francs directly to their new PostFinance account by 30 November 2026 upon successful review of their application. There must be a current relationship with PostFinance in place at the time of payment. If the documents and personal data required for the banking package application are not provided within 60 days, the account opening cannot be actioned and entitlement to the credit shall lapse. The offer does not apply to upgrades or downgrades of existing banking packages or to further account openings within an existing banking package. The offer is valid only once when customers open their first banking package (Smart or SmartPlus) within the specified time period. The offer does not apply to individuals who have already opened a PostFinance banking package in the past, regardless of whether the banking package was still active or was closed at the specified time of the promotion. The credit of 50 francs that is paid out when customers open their first Smart or SmartPlus banking package is received only by the person who meets the requirements for the relevant banking package (Smart or SmartPlus). All natural persons aged 20 or over who are resident in Switzerland are eligible to apply for a Smart of SmartPlus banking package. Applications for a new banking package (Smart or SmartPlus) can be made via all channels offered by PostFinance, namely online via postfinance.ch, in the PostFinance App, at a PostFinance branch or at a Swiss Post branch.
Conditions of participation: 50 francs credit when new customers take out a credit card or prepaid card
Anyone who applies for their first Visa or Mastercard® credit card or prepaid card with PostFinance, in addition to one of the above banking packages, between 6 July and 16 August 2026 will receive further credit in the amount of 50 francs directly to their own PostFinance account by 30 November 2026 upon successful review of their application. This means that new customers will receive a total credit amount of 100 francs to their PostFinance account when they successfully open a banking package (Smart or SmartPlus) and take out of a credit card or prepaid card. The offer does not apply to second cards or to upgrades to existing credit cards and is valid only once when customers apply for their first credit card or prepaid card during the specified time period. The amount will be credited once per person (and not per card). The credit of 50 francs that is paid out when customers apply for their first credit card or prepaid card can be received only by the person who meets the requirements for the respective credit or prepaid card and who has an active credit or prepaid card up to the payment date. Anyone who successfully takes part in the promotion above is eligible to apply. Customers can apply for their first credit card or prepaid card via all channels offered by PostFinance, namely online via postfinance.ch, in the PostFinance App, at a PostFinance branch or at a Swiss Post branch. Existing PostFinance customers with a banking package can also apply for a credit card or prepaid card via e-finance.
A banking package (Smart, SmartPlus) at PostFinance is required in order to apply for a credit card or prepaid card from PostFinance. If the person does not yet have a PostFinance banking package, a PostFinance banking package must be opened in order to take out a credit card or prepaid card.
Amendment to the conditions of participation and cancellation of the promotion
These conditions of participation may be altered by PostFinance at any time. PostFinance also reserves the right to terminate the promotion at any time without advance notice and without giving a reason. In the event of suspected fraud or misuse, breach of these conditions of participation or other conduct, PostFinance may exclude individual persons from the promotion without stating reasons. If the promotion is discontinued or ended, there will be no right to claim for payment or compensation.
Final provisions
To the extent permitted by law, PostFinance excludes any liability in connection with the promotion. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the promotion. Any right of appeal is excluded. The promotion is subject to Swiss law. The sole place of jurisdiction is Bern (Switzerland).
