  • Opening a banking package with a private account is completely digital and takes just a few minutes. You can open the banking package directly via the PostFinance App or via e‑finance.

  • To use e-trading, you first need a banking package with a private account. You can then open e‑trading conveniently via e‑finance or the PostFinance App.

  • If all the conditions have been met, e-trading will be available to you just a few minutes after the online opening is complete. If we require additional documents to open e-trading, you will receive corresponding information by post.

  • To open a banking package digitally, you must meet the following requirements:

    • You are 12 years of age or older
    • You are resident in Switzerland
    • You are liable for taxation only in Switzerland
    • You can use a smartphone to open a banking package

    If you do not meet all these criteria, you can open your banking package with account, cards and online access directly in a Swiss Post or PostFinance branch.

  • No. To use e-trading, you need a banking package with a private account as well as e‑finance or the PostFinance App.

  • After you have opened your banking package digitally, you can add further products directly in the PostFinance App or in e‑finance. E‑trading can be opened in just four clicks and is available immediately.
