Subscribe to a banking package with credit card

Would you like to order a PostFinance credit card? Good choice! Become a PostFinance customer and receive your credit card as part of a banking package. You choose the accounts, cards and services that are right for you – all conveniently bundled together.

Please note: you can subscribe to a banking package independently from the age of 12. The minimum age for a credit card is 18 years.

  • In a banking package from PostFinance, you receive everything you need for your daily banking in a practical bundle:

    • Private account in CHF, EUR or a foreign currency
    • Savings account in CHF or EUR
    • Debit card
    • Credit card (optional, available from the age of 18) 
    • Prepaid card (optional, available from 12 years of age)
    • E-finance and the PostFinance App for managing your finances independently online

    Choose the products and services within the banking package in line with your needs. You can open additional accounts at any time, free of charge.

  • PostFinance offers the following banking packages for people aged at least 18 (preconditions for a credit card):

    For adults, individuals and couples

    • Smart banking package for CHF 5/month
    • SmartPlus banking package for CHF 10/month (including CHF 50 discount/year on a credit or prepaid card, free cash withdrawals worldwide with the debit card and a 10% premium discount on PostFinance property insurance

    For young people and students

    • SmartYoung banking package for CHF 0/month (for young people up to the age of 20)
    • SmartStudents banking package for CHF 0/month (for people in education or training up to the age of 30)

  • Opening online
    You can open your banking package in around 10 minutes online, if

    • you are domiciled in Switzerland and are tax liable
    • the account is to be issued in your name
    • you have your smartphone to hand

    You can use your online banking immediately after the package has been opened. You will receive the card(s) you ordered by post within a few days. 

    Opening in a branch
    If you open your banking package in a Swiss Post or PostFinance branch, the process can take up to a few days. You receive all your documents, access data for online banking and ordered card(s) by post.

    Please note that you require a valid passport or identity card (foreign nationals require ID plus a residence permit or permanent residence permit) to open an account online or in a branch.
