For children under 12, our SmartKids package is the best choice.

    • SmartYoung is free of charge. Avoid fees with ease by paying attention to the following:

      • Manage your accounts digitally. We only charge you the CHF 5/month fee for the paper-based option if you expressly request this option when you open the account, or you do so later in online banking (e-finance) or in the app.
      • PostFinance will not charge you any fees for cash withdrawals with the PostFinance Card made internationally. Third-party fees are, however, possible and are not reimbursed by PostFinance.
      • With the youth savings account, keep to the number of debits and the maximum amount you can withdraw from that account each year free of charge. Ten withdrawals (i.e. transactions, transfers or purchase) a year are offered free of charge, and a maximum of CHF 100,000 without any withdrawal notice on your part. After that, you will incur fees.
      • Avoid cash withdrawals with a credit card. You will incur low conversion fees for purchases in foreign currencies.

    • With preferential interest on the youth savings account, young people will benefit from the compound interest effect, and will be a step closer to making their dreams a reality.

A funds saving plan is an especially good supplement. This allows you to build up assets on a long-term, systematic basis from as little as 20 francs a month. You can set this up later with ease via the PostFinance App or e-finance once you’ve opened the SmartYoung banking package.
