More pay for PostFinance employees in 2026

PostFinance, the trade union syndicom and the staff association transfair have successfully concluded pay negotiations for employees covered by the PostFinance Ltd collective employment contract (CEC). PostFinance allocates 1 percent of the total salary sum to general and structural salary increases. Employees also receive a one-off bonus for their huge commitment last year.

For 2026, PostFinance has agreed the following measures with its social partners syndicom and transfair: a total of 1 percent of the eligible salary sum is available for general and structural salary measures. This puts PostFinance in line with the industry average. In order to facilitate continuous salary development, PostFinance is also increasing the upper and lower limits of the salary brackets by 0.6 percent before the pay negotiations, but by at least 660 francs. The minimum wage is now rising to 56,280 francs a year. In pay negotiations, the social partners base their decisions on Swiss Post’s economic situation, productivity trends, comparisons with competitor companies and changes in the cost of living.

In recognition of the great commitment shown by employees over the past year, a one-off bonus of 500 francs for a full-time employment level – depending on the level of employment – will also be paid. The salary measures will apply from April 2026 for the 2,700 or so employees covered by the PostFinance Ltd CEC.

This is what PostFinance and the social partners have to say about the outcome of the negotiations

Sabine Ackermann, Head of HR & Organizational Development at PostFinance: «The results show that even with low inflation, PostFinance, as a socially responsible employer, stands for fair, competitive salaries and attractive employment conditions. In the challenging past year, our employees have once again shown great commitment to our customers and PostFinance – and this deserves special recognition. We will pay a one-off premium for this.»

Dominik Dietrich, Central Secretary of the trade union syndicom: «The outcome of the pay negotiations is an important signal for PostFinance employees. Despite difficult conditions, we were able to negotiate salary increases that would strengthen their purchasing power and give them back. For the syndicom trade union, it is particularly encouraging that the appreciation bonus demanded by syndicom for years has been achieved. This is a clear sign of respect and recognition for the work done and recognizes the day-to-day commitment of PostFinance employees.»

Marco Kaderli, Head of the PostFinance Social Partnership at transfair: «We would have liked to have achieved more for our members and all PostFinance employees. In light of the economic challenges, however, transfair’s salary result is reasonable. However, we expect employees to benefit more significantly as soon as the situation improves.»
