On Thursday, 26 October 2023, presenter Tama Vakeesan joins writer and cabaret artist Christoph Simon and TV presenter Andrea Jansen in Bern to talk about the roles of stay-at-home mothers and fathers.

Tama Vakeesan

Margaux Habert began her career at LFM, the first private radio station in Western Switzerland. She is multitalented and has presented the weather on Swiss and French television, and written for 20 Minuten and Femina. Today, the 31-year old from Lausanne works for the online medium watson, where she writes and makes videos on politics, sport and entertainment.

Andrea Jansen

Andrea Jansen is an entrepreneur and founder of the platform for self-determined and equal parents, The link will open in a new window anyworkingmom.com. She currently heads Strategy & Innovation at this media company, which was founded seven years ago. She is also a member of the Board of Directors at Aepsy, a mental health startup, and a member of the Board of Trustees at the Jansen Primesteps Foundation. Jansen worked as a presenter for several years (Joya rennt / Music Star / Einfach Luxuriös / SF Unterwegs / Die grössten Schweizer Talente) and produced content for SRF, including two feature reports. Andrea Jansen has three children between the ages of six and 11 and lives with her family in Zurich and Hawaii.

Christoph Simon

Christoph Simon was born in Langnau im Emmental in 1972 and published his first novel “Franz oder warum Antilopen nebeneinander laufen” (Franz, or Why Antelopes Run in Herds) in 2001. This was followed shortly after by other works such as “Luna Llena” and “Planet Obrist“. For his fourth novel “Spaziergänger Zbinden” (Zbinden’s Progress), he was awarded multiple honours, including the Bern Literature Prize. He is currently also touring with various cabaret and stage shows in Germany and Switzerland.
