PostFinance Card combined with Debit Mastercard

The PostFinance Card has been replaced and expanded to include the Debit Mastercard® function. The new PostFinance Card can be used anywhere in Switzerland and abroad where you see the PostFinance or Mastercard logo.

The new PostFinance Card with Debit Mastercard can easily be distinguished from the current PostFinance Card. The most prominent difference is the Mastercard logo on the front side.

  • You already own an ep2-certified payment terminal

If you already accept Mastercard products as a payment option, you will be able to accept the new PostFinance Card with Debit Mastercard right away. However, the same conditions that you agreed with your contractual partner (acquirer) for Mastercard will apply.

If you would like to benefit from our attractive transparent prices for PostFinance Card transactions, please register via the order form or contact us on 0848 888 900 for a consultation appointment.

    Did you know?

An EFT/POS agreement is also possible without opening a business account with PostFinance. Payments can be credited to a PostFinance bank account or a third-party bank account of your choice.

You do not yet own an ep2-certified payment terminal

If you already accept Mastercard products as a payment option, you will be able to accept the new PostFinance Card with Debit Mastercard right away. The same conditions that you agreed with your contractual partner (acquirer) for Mastercard will apply.

Please note that PostFinance EFT/POS agreements are only possible with an ep2-certified payment terminal. Your terminal provider can tell you whether your terminal is ep2-certified or not. Read the questions and answers for more information on ep2-certified and non-ep2-certified payment terminals.

However, the following options are available to you for entering into a EFT/POS agreement with PostFinance to benefit from attractive conditions: the payment terminal must be changed to a ep2-certified model. Information about this can be found under EFT/POS or you can contact us on 0848 888 900.
