Who is a partner account suitable for?
A partner account is a joint account for two adults. It doesn’t matter whether they are married, in a partnership or simply friends. The important thing is that both adults trust each other as they manage the account on an equal footing.

Smart
If you combine a Smart package with a PostFinance mortgage, life insurance or invested assets, the banking package is free of charge. If you have invested assets of over CHF 25,000 or have a mortgage or life insurance with PostFinance, you will save an additional CHF 5/month on your banking package. Invested assets include all PostFinance investment solutions such as e-asset management, crypto, e-trading (invested assets), fund self-service, fund consulting basic, investment consulting plus and retirement funds. Credit held in savings accounts and medium-term notes are not considered to be invested assets.

Young adults also pay just CHF 5/month for SmartPlus. As a new customer aged 23 or under, you will receive the SmartPlus banking package at half price (CHF 5) for a maximum of three years. As an existing customer between 21 and 30 years of age, you also benefit from this discount if you had the SmartYoung or SmartStudents banking package in the previous year.

Yes. A partner account is a good option for those wanting to manage their expenses centrally in pairs and who trust each other.
Both account holders receive their own debit card. The SmartPlus banking package includes your own credit card. If desired, a credit card can also be added to the Smart banking package for a fee.
All joint expenses should ideally go through this partner account. This will help you keep your budget and expenses under control.
