PostFinance reduces interest rates on youth, savings and retirement savings accounts

The Swiss National Bank (SNB) lowered its policy rate from 0.25% to 0.00% on 19 June 2025. This was the SNB’s sixth policy rate cut in a row. PostFinance is responding to this by adjusting the interest rates on youth, savings and re-tirement savings accounts as of 1 August 2025.

The adapted interest rates will come into effect automatically; customers do not need to do anything. For other account types, existing interest rates will continue to apply. 

The SNB will conduct its next monetary policy assessment on 25 September 2025. PostFinance monitors developments on an ongoing basis. PostFinance will provide information promptly in the event of further modifications.
