Press Release

PostFinance becomes the first retail bank in Switzerland to launch its own multi-asset ETF – tradeable on SIX

On 23 June 2026, PostFinance – in cooperation with Xtrackers by DWS – launched its first proprietary exchange-traded fund: the PostFinance Global Portfolio ETF. This multi-asset ETF is listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange. The product can be traded on the stock exchange and is therefore also accessible to non-PostFinance customers. This makes PostFinance the first retail bank in Switzerland to launch its own multi-asset ETF.

The key points at a glance

  • PostFinance is launching the PostFinance Global Portfolio ETF (multi-asset ETF) in June 2026.
  • Implemented in cooperation with Xtrackers by DWS.
  • Listed on SIX Swiss Exchange.
  • Invests in a globally diversified portfolio of equities (with a higher proportion of Swiss holdings), as well as gold and Swiss real estate. TER 0.49 percent; execution-only (no investment advice provided by PostFinance).

“The ETF enables broad diversification across multiple asset classes and is also accessible via the stock exchange to investors outside PostFinance. This makes us the first retail bank in Switzerland to launch an ETF with this composition,” says Philipp Merkt, Chief Investment Officer at PostFinance.

Broad diversification in a single ETF

The PostFinance Global Portfolio ETF reflects the bank’s “Capital gains” investment strategy and “Global” investment focus. The ETF invests in globally diversified equities, with an increased proportion of Swiss equities, and alternative investments such as gold and Swiss real estate. The weighting of asset classes is based on PostFinance’s strategic allocation.

The ETF is an execution-only product: PostFinance does not offer any investment advice on it. PostFinance customers can trade the ETF independently in e-trading and the PostFinance App, and they can open a saving plan if required.

Fees and implementation

The total expense ratio (TER) is 0.49 percent (49 basis points) per year, making it attractively positioned compared to other multi-asset solutions on the market. The ETF is implemented in cooperation with Xtrackers by DWS, a long-standing partner of PostFinance. PostFinance acts as investment advisor, determines the strategic allocation and controls the frequency of rebalancing. Xtrackers by DWS implements the strategy within the fund.

Explained in brief: PostFinance Global Portfolio ETF

What is a multi-asset ETF?

A multi-asset ETF combines several asset classes − similar to a strategy fund, but in one exchange-traded product. Unlike many traditional ETFs, which track a single index, it contains various components – including shares and alternative investments such as gold and real estate.

Who is the ETF suitable for?

For investors with a long-term investment horizon who want to achieve a higher return in the long term, but can also absorb larger price fluctuations. The ETF is available without advice (execution-only).

Where can the ETF be traded?

On the SIX Swiss Exchange, which means it can also be traded by non-customers via the stock exchange. PostFinance customers can use e-trading and open a saving plan.

How much are the fees?

The TER is 0.49 percent per year.
