E-Payment made easy – test it now

The E-Payment Module puts many payment methods for your online store at your disposal in the Checkout Flex back office tool. You negotiate the price conditions with the acceptance partners you require, simply and directly. This means you remain flexible and benefit from attractive prices and a large number of useful features (such as configuration options in fraud management). Find out for yourself by testing our payment service provider solution free of charge in simulation mode. You can extend simulation mode after the 30-day trial period.

  • Online store requirements

    To activate our payment system for your online store, the following requirements must be met:

    • You must have a PostFinance business account or a credit card for billing of fees 
    • The online payments can also be used for sales and outpayments in foreign currencies, depending on the acceptance partner
  • Online contract conclusion and communication of the contract request to the acceptance partners

    The “Payment Service Providing” contract for Checkout Flex can be concluded online in just a few minutes. After our check, Checkout Flex will be activated within five working days.

    You can decide for yourself which payment methods you would like to offer. You will need to conclude a separate contract with each of the providers (acceptance partners). PostFinance takes care of sending the contract request for you directly from the back office tool in the Checkout Flex setup process.

    Please note: It may currently take several weeks to conclude contracts with Worldline and Concardis. PostFinance has no influence over this period.

    Personalizing e-mails and documents

    In the Checkout back office tool, you can personalize e-mails sent to the buyers (such as payment status) or documents (such as payment confirmations or credits). 

    Simple accounting

    The sales reports (reconciliations) from the various acceptance partners are consolidated and clearly displayed in the Checkout back office tool. The sales receipts are automatically archived online. You can export them via CSV and import them into your accounting software.

    Fraud management

    We support you in protecting yourself against fraudulent activities online. We offer the following measures to help you exclude and reject invalid payment methods before a transaction can be made.

    • You can use various filter options (card category, card type, etc.) to exclude certain payment methods
    • You can set up fraud screening for the card issuer, the BIN, the country, the address and the IP address
    • You can block cards and payments from certain countries

    Your options for cashing in online – only with Checkout Flex

    • Charge stored credit cards directly in your online store: With this feature, you as a retailer have the option of debiting recurring amounts, such as subscription costs, to the cards previously stored by the customer.
    • Payment link for settlement of outstanding amounts: You can send the buyer a payment link by e-mail. Buyers then use the payment link to settle the outstanding amount with one of the payment methods linked in the online store.
    • Charge flow for authorization by e-mail: You can use the charge flow feature to automate processes for debits via e-mail.
  • PostFinance plug-ins

    We offer plug-ins for the shop systems commonly used in Swiss e-commerce. A plug-in is a software component that you can download in the back office tool. After successful installation, the software component can be easily connected to your shop system.

    If you cannot find your shop system above, connection of our e-payment solution may be possible via one of the following plug-ins. The plug-ins are not found in our back office tool, but directly in your shop system.

    Connected services − connecting Checkout to SaaS shop systems

    If you use a shop system as an SaaS (software as a service) solution, you can connect our payment system directly using the integrated connected services. Contact your SaaS provider directly about connection to the shop system.

    These fees are charged directly by the acceptance partner for the relevant payment method. Please check the relevant acceptance contract to find out more about the conditions.

    Please note: If you process fewer than 50 transactions per month in your online store, we recommend looking at our Checkout All-in-One E-Payment Module solution.

    • You can create an unlimited number of spaces in the account.

      • Two spaces are included in the subscription price of CHF 19.90 excl. VAT
      • For each additional space, you are charged an extra CHF 6.90 excl. VAT

      Remember you will have to arrange new acceptance contracts for the payment methods you want for each space.

    • With Support Plus and an active Checkout subscription, we provide support for day-to-day issues beyond our basic support. The solution contains the following value-added services:

      • Team of specialists available by e-mail and phone
      • Response time of a maximum of six hours after receipt of request during our opening hours (Mon–Fri, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) for matters concerning the development of your payment solution
      • Two hours of video sessions within 12 months
      • You can arrange the time slot in advance based on your needs (business hours and availability)
