Checklist: switching to the QR-bill for invoice issuers

Switching from the red inpayment slip (IS) to the QR-bill (without reference)

If you are currently using the red inpayment slip (IS), you can easily switch to the QR-bill (without reference). We differentiate between two variants: with or without accounts receivable software.

Without software

1. Generating and sending a QR-bill

Using the QR generator on our website or in e-finance, you can easily generate QR-bills for yourself and print them out on white, perforated paper for dispatch. Use your IBAN for this (digits 5 – 9 = 09000). QR-bills that you send as a PDF by e-mail to invoice recipients are exclusively intended for payment via e-banking and mobile banking.

Please note that subsequent, handwritten messages are not permitted on the QR-bill. The payment reference must already be printed when it is created.

2. Receiving credits

You will receive information about received credits in the usual manner in your account statement. No slip images are delivered for QR-bills, as all relevant payment information is entered and communicated digitally.

With software

1. Configuring the software

If you are using software, you must set up your software for the QR-bill with the help of the software manufacturer. Use your IBAN for this (digits 5 – 9 = 09000). If you have not yet received any instructions or need assistance, contact your software manufacturer.

2. Testing

A test is not mandatory as PostFinance assumes that your software manufacturer has carried out the necessary tests. You have the option to test your documents on our The link will open in a new window test platform.

3. Generating and sending a QR-bill

Generate your QR-bills from your software and print them out on white, perforated paper for dispatch. QR-bills that you send as a PDF by e-mail to invoice recipients are exclusively intended for payment via e-banking and mobile banking.

Please note that subsequent, handwritten messages are not permitted on the QR-bill. The payment reference must already be printed when it is created.

4. Receiving credits

You will receive information about received credits in the usual manner in your account statement. All data from the QR-bill are recorded and communicated digitally. No slip images are delivered for QR-bills, as all relevant payment information is entered and communicated digitally.

Switching from the orange inpayment slip (ISR) to the QR-bill (with QR reference)

If you are currently using the orange payment slip (ISR), you can easily switch to the QR-bill. Observe the following for a smooth changeover to the QR-bill (with QR reference).

1. Configuring the software

You must set up your software for the QR-bill with the help of the software manufacturer. To do this, you must use the QR-IBAN assigned by PostFinance (digits 5 – 9 = 30000). If you do not know the QR-IBAN, contact your Customer Advisor. If you need assistance configuring your software, contact your software manufacturer.

4. Receiving credits

You will receive information about received credits in the usual manner either in camt.054 (detailed notification) or in camt.053 (account statement). If you are using the camt.054, you will receive two separate deliveries during parallel operation: one with all ISR receipts and one with all QR-IBAN receipts. You can have your Customer Advisor cancel your ISR participation as soon as you no longer wish to receive ISR receipts.
