How we ensure diversity and equality

PostFinance promotes diversity. After all, diversity is an important factor when it comes to successfully shaping the future. We want all people of all gender identities to enjoy the same opportunities and conditions in our company and to ensure that no one is discriminated against. We support our employees in balancing their professional and private lives with flexible working hours and models.

Gender equality

Gender equality is firmly established as part of PostFinance’s corporate responsibility and is an important factor for successfully shaping the future in a volatile environment. To promote a well-balanced and diverse leadership structure, at least one third of both genders will be represented at middle and senior management level long-term.

Diversity in practice

We promote diversity as a theme – for example as a tour and presentation partner of Swiss rock band Patent Ochsner, or with training courses designed to raise awareness of unconscious prejudices in everyday life or in development discussions within the company. Last but not least, we also give our employees a platform, such as during Pride Month 2022, when they were able to use our social media channels to share short videos on their experiences and messages regarding equality and inclusion.

Promoted working models

PostFinance’s working conditions provide a great deal of flexibility when it comes to reconciling work, private life and extra-occupational interests and commitments. This includes flexible working models, part-time work or co-leads, as well as fair wages and attractive holiday models, including the option of buying three additional weeks of holiday per year. In this way, we create space for our employees so that they can live their own personal life plans.

Relax and enjoy your holidays

The “holiday week” during the summer holiday period is one of the measures we use to relieve the burden on parents. This benefits everyone involved: parents can entrust their children to childcare during these five days and concentrate fully on their work. For PostFinance as an employer, the holiday week has a positive impact on resource planning and employee retention, while the children enjoy a varied holiday programme.
