Samsung Pay now also available for PostFinance prepaid cards and credit cards

As of now, PostFinance customers can also store their prepaid cards and credit cards digitally on their Samsung smartphones and pay with Samsung Pay. This works wherever contactless payments can be made, both online and offline, and it’s quick, simple and secure. By adding Samsung Pay, PostFinance continues to expand its range of mobile payment services.

Contactless is becoming an increasingly popular way to pay in Switzerland. This trend has become even more pronounced in recent months as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. PostFinance wishes to meet this requirement, and is offering its customers an additional cashless and contactless payment method in the form of Samsung Pay. PostFinance prepaid cards and credit cards can now be stored in the Samsung Pay app. Customers can then use their Samsung Galaxy smartphone or Galaxy Watch to make secure, contactless payments at payment terminals and online without having to enter a PIN. The digital card is either protected by a PIN or fingerprint.

Samsung Pay added to mobile payment options

“We’re delighted to gain such a stellar partner in mobile payments in the form of Samsung,” says Christian Geiger, Head of Payments with PostFinance. “Especially in the current situation, being able to make secure, contactless payments is vitally important for many of our customers.” Samsung Pay is an addition to PostFinance’s wide range of mobile payment options. More options will be added over the course of 2021. This means customers are always free to choose which mobile payment solution they wish to use.
