Benjamin Staeheli to become new Head of Payment Solutions

The PostFinance Board of Directors has appointed Benjamin Staeheli as the new Head of Payment Solutions as of 1 January 2022. In this role, he will be joining the financial service provider’s Executive Board. With more than 250 employees, the Payment Solutions unit ensures a first-class service for payment and payment collection solutions for retailers and invoice issuers.

The appointment of Benjamin Staeheli (born in 1968) will enable PostFinance to benefit from his proven expertise in financial services and information management. He has extensive management experience at C level and perfectly embodies PostFinance’s SpeedUp strategy with his innovative thinking and broad specialist knowledge in the field of payment solutions. Benjamin Staeheli has been Head of Global Banking Operations for the Avaloq Group since 2016. From 2008 to 2016, he was Head of Banking and a member of the Executive Board at B-Source SA (now known as Avaloq Sourcing Ltd.). He previously held a variety of managerial positions at Credit Suisse. Subject to FINMA approval, Benjamin Staeheli will take up his position on 1 January 2022.

Benjamin Staeheli holds a degree in business administration from the University of St. Gallen and a PhD in cross-cultural management. He will take on the leadership of Payment Solutions from Ron Schneider, who has headed the unit on an interim basis since the departure of Patrick Graf at the end of May 2021.
