postfinance.ch and e-finance are accessible to all

PostFinance websites have ensured accessibility for over a decade. The financial services provider has obtained certification from the “Access for All” foundation for the fifth time after 2009, 2012, 2014 and 2016. This means PostFinance provides good accessibility to its online services for everyone.

Digitization is a key strategic goal for PostFinance. Via its website www.postfinance.ch, the financial services provider gives customers access to smart digital solutions, such as e-finance. This means they can manage their finances whenever they wish and from anywhere — simply, conveniently and securely. In an increasingly digital world, access to such solutions is ever more crucial. And yet people with visual or hearing impairments, motor or cognitive disabilities and age-related limitations still encounter what are at times insurmountable obstacles on the web.

Top marks from the “Access for All” foundation

PostFinance wishes to provide all its customers with the best possible access to its products and services. For this reason, PostFinance involves its accessibility specialists at a very early stage when developing and enhancing digital solutions. And its approach has paid off: The “Access for All” foundation has rated PostFinance’s website and e-finance online banking solution as highly accessible (AA+ and AA) for the fifth time. The certification is based on advanced guidelines for accessible web content, WCAG 2.0 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0).

Regular recertification

But PostFinance is not resting on its laurels. Because technological advances are constantly posing new challenges for accessibility. PostFinance has therefore agreed with the “Access for All” foundation to carry out periodic quality checks on its website and the finance portal and to exchange information on new findings. Through regular re-certification, PostFinance will maintain high quality standards into the future.
