Currency ETCs (Exchange Traded Currencies) emulate an index that illustrates the fluctuations in exchange rate of various currencies, as well as the local interest rates. As such, they are essentially similar to ETFs, and offer investors the opportunity to benefit from exchange rate trends without having to purchase foreign currencies directly.
