If you take out your first credit or prepaid card by 19 April 2024, you’ll receive 50 francs of starting credit. New customers who also open a Smart or SmartPlus banking package will receive an extra 50 francs on top. That means up to 100 francs could be yours. It’s completely normal.

    • The prepaid card is suitable for customers who want extra security. As you have to top up the prepaid card with credit before you use it, you can limit your maximum spending amount.

    • Yes. You can use a prepaid card worldwide, wherever Mastercard cards are accepted, in shops and online.

    • Prepaid cards do not have a usual card limit. Before you can use the prepaid card, you have to top it up with money. This means that only the topped-up amount is available.

    • No. Prepaid cards cannot be overdrawn. The amount available is the amount that you previously loaded onto the card.
