  • Who can sign the basic agreement?

The basic agreement must be signed by one or more members who have the right under the articles of association to represent the association externally. This is often the president, the treasurer or a member of the management board.

What do I need to know about identification?

Identification is by means of the articles of association and minutes in which the current management board can be found. The articles of association must be presented in writing and provide information on the association’s purpose, its financial resources and its organizational structure. A copy is sufficient. All individuals who sign the basic agreement are also personally identified (passport, identity card, Swiss driving licence or foreigners’ residence permit).

What happens if the association does not have its own articles?

If an association does not have its own articles of association, those of the cantonal or regional association must be submitted.

Do I have to submit the election records?

In the event that the current management board is not to be found in the articles of association, the current election records must also be submitted. The authorized representatives, including their names and functions within the association, must be mentioned in the election records.

What happens when the members of the management board change?

If there is a change to the management board members, the election records must be submitted to PostFinance.
