You benefit from these attractive conditions:

  • Flexible working hours and six weeks’ holiday

  • Fair salaries and attractive benefits

  • Modern and ergonomic working environment

  • Varied basic and advanced training opportunities

  • Certified health management

    • We have received multiple awards recognizing us as one of the most attractive employers in Switzerland

Working hours & holidays – harmonizing career & private life

Our working time models and holiday regulations are based on the conviction that performance is improved by a good work-life balance. For example, our employees benefit from flexitime and the opportunity to work part-time. We also encourage part-time work for managers. And our holiday regulations speak for themselves: all employees are entitled to six weeks’ holiday as well the option to take unpaid leave.

Salaries & benefits – fair & attractive

We are committed to fair salaries that reflect roles, experience and personal performance. Our basic principle is to pay the same basic salary for equivalent roles. At PostFinance we have employees’ salaries regularly checked by an external body to ensure equal pay between men and women. Our employees also benefit from a range of staff offers, including preferential conditions on selected PostFinance services, the SBB half-fare travelcard or a discounted GA travelcard, and Swiss Post staff vouchers. PostFinance employees also benefit from discounts on various offers and services such as fitness subscriptions, health insurance or concerts.

Workplaces – represented throughout Switzerland

We operate throughout the whole of Switzerland. We have a total of more than 40 branches in cities and larger towns offering our customers advice where they live. Around half of our 3,600 employees work at our headquarters in Bern Wankdorf. Attractive, centrally-located co-working spaces are available for all staff at PostParc, directly at Bern station and at Oerlikon station. Other important locations include Bellinzona, Bulle, Zofingen and Netstal. Most of our locations have a flexible workplace policy. In addition, working from home is also possible for many roles.

Basic & advanced training – getting ahead together

Well-trained employees who put their skills to good use are crucial to our success. PostFinance offers careers for both specialists and managers. We offer a wide range of basic and advanced specialist, project and management training courses: we train our employees internally with on-the-job training, e-learning and face-to-face training. We provide financial support and/or work time for worthwhile external basic and advanced training. In particular, we also encourage young employees to take on management tasks in projects and small teams. PostFinance also gives employees the opportunity to work temporarily in a different role.

Health management – fit with PostFinance

We consider it extremely important to maintain and promote good health among our employees. Since 2009, workplace health management has been firmly anchored at PostFinance, with a focus on preventive measures ranging from flexible working hours and ergonomic workplaces to discounts on sports and fitness packages. For example, there are changing rooms available at the larger locations and TRX fitness rooms in Berne. For managers, we also offer training on the prevention of stress-related illness. Equally important to us is proper care and support for employees who fall ill or suffer accidents. Employees who are absent for extended periods receive support from our case management programme.

Recognized as an attractive employer

We want to offer our employees the best possible working conditions, and we are proud of the multiple certifications and awards we have received in recognition of our efforts. Among students and graduates, we have also been voted for years as one of the top 100 most attractive employers in Switzerland.

First-hand accounts – our employees talk about their job

  • “In my previous role as team leader at the Contact Center in St. Gallen, I was given the opportunity to work temporarily in a different job. The change involved moving to Berne for seven months. My manager at the time supported me in my decision and enabled me to make the change quickly and easily. This opportunity to work temporarily in a different role helped me to get ahead in my career and opened up new perspectives to me. At the same time, it also motivated me to see my own work in a wider context.”

  • “My area of work as a Brand Manager at PostFinance is versatile and varied. I can work independently and enjoy the freedom to contribute my own ideas and vision. Values such as “togetherness” and “on an equal footing” are really integral to PostFinance, as are flexible working hours and home office. What’s more, my colleagues and the amazing corporate culture helped me quickly find my feet in my new job.”
