PostFinance makes changes to interest rates

from

Interest rates on national and international markets continue to be at historic lows and in some cases are even in the negative. At PostFinance, this is leading to constant pressure to achieve solid results, due to the lack of investment opportunities. The financial service provider is therefore lowering customer interest rates on various accounts as of 1 August 2016.

Attractive investment products

In the current interest environment, it is more and more difficult for bank customers to invest their money in a profitable manner. As an alternative to conventional account-based saving, PostFinance offers its customers a clear range of proven funds. This means that customers can have a share of the financial market potential. Regarding retirement funds, PostFinance will be one of the first financial institutes to offer as of mid-June passively managed funds for the 3a pillar with an equity component of 75%. This provides its customers with the opportunity to benefit from a high equity component in the most long-term-orientated retirement planning

Changes to credit cards

As of 1 September 2016, PostFinance is lowering the turnover reimbursement on credit cards for the bonus programme and is raising the processing surcharge for purchases and withdrawals in a foreign currency.

  • Processing surcharge: 1.2% (previously 0.9%)
  • Turnover bonus: 0.3% (previously 0.5%) for Prepaid, Classic/Standard and Business cards; 0.5% (previously 0.75%) for Gold and Platinum cards

The attractive fees will remain the same.
