PostFinance has acquired a 9% interest in the share capital of Swiss Bankers Prepaid Services Ltd (SBPS). This will enable both companies to strengthen their long-standing cooperation in the area of travel payment methods. Following this commitment, Nicole Walker, Head of Product Management Payment Solutions at PostFinance, was appointed to the Board of Directors of SBPS. Swiss Bankers Prepaid Services Ltd is an established international company which provides services for Swiss banks. Its core business is the development, marketing and processing of prepaid cards. PostFinance has acquired 9% of the shares in SBPS in order to further strengthen the long-standing partnership between the two companies. The parties have agreed to maintain confidentiality over the purchase price.

DAs a result of this equity interest, the financial service provider will also take up a seat on the Board of Directors of SBPS. The general meeting elected Nicole Walker, Head of Product Management Payment Solutions at PostFinance, as a new member of the Board. “I am delighted to be able to voice the concerns of our customers directly to the Board of Directors of Swiss Bankers Prepaid Services Ltd from now on”, said Walker.
Carefree travel – thanks to the partnership with SBPS
PostFinance wants to help its customers manage their money as easily as possible. This includes offering a wide range of travel payment methods. As well as its own debit, credit and prepaid cards, PostFinance also offers the Travel Cash card in Swiss francs, euros and US dollars in partnership with SBPS. In addition, customers who want to obtain the necessary cash before they travel can use e-finance to conveniently order around 80 foreign currencies – supplied by SBPS.
