Mobile Banking: The new e-finance is now also available for smartphones

In autumn 2014, PostFinance launched its e-banking in a new modern look and received the Best of Swiss Web Usability award for it. As from 27 April 2015, the new e-finance will also be available for mobile end devices. The design is based on the proven tile design and is tailored exactly to the needs of smartphone users. This will make money transactions even easier for PostFinance customers.

Nowadays, an increasing number of customers want to handle their finances independently, irrespective of time and place. They expect easy, attractive products and services with clear user guidance. PostFinance takes this development into account and is continually expanding its digital range of services. In the process, it gears the design and functionalities to mobile end devices. This is also demonstrated by the new PostFinance Apps, which are available for iOS and Android devices to download and update as from today.

PostFinance: Pioneer in mobile banking

PostFinance is both an innovation and market leader in mobile banking in Switzerland. Its apps have already been downloaded more than 600,000 times. After one-off registration, its fast service enables you to request your account balance and the most recent account movements, as well as to transfer small amounts directly to a mobile number. In addition, pre-paid mobile phones can be topped up and credit purchased from various providers (incl. iTunes, Sony Playstation Network, Paysafecard and Spotify). Thanks to the Scan + Pay function, inpayment slips can be conveniently entered with the camera of a smartphone or tablet and approved with a tip of your finger.

Easier login with maximum security

For easier login, PostFinance has been offering the Mobile ID since October 2013 as an alternative to the card reader device. A digital certificate, which is also protected by a PIN, is stored on the SIM card. Date exchange between smartphones and the server is always encrypted, ensuring that the Mobile ID meets PostFinance’s most stringent security standards. A Mobile ID capable SIM card can be ordered from Swisscom, and from the middle of the year from Sunrise as well.
