Isabella Stalder appointed new Head of Internal Auditing at PostFinance

PostFinance Ltd’s Board of Directors has appointed Isabella Stalder as the new Head of Internal Auditing at PostFinance. She will take up her position on 1 February 2019 and succeeds Robert Thommen, who is retiring. Isabella Stalder will bring extensive expertise in the fields of banking, auditing and commercial law to her role as Head of Internal Auditing. She is also very familiar with PostFinance, having served as Deputy Head of Internal Auditing for almost six years.

Isabella Stalder (born in 1976) completed a banking apprenticeship at UBS, acquiring her expertise in the banking industry from the ground up. After graduating from the Bern School of Business and Administration (HSW), she spent three years working as an auditor at KPMG AG from autumn 2004. She then joined Swiss Post’s Internal Auditing as an audit expert, leading the money laundering audit team from 2012. Since 2013, she has been head of a nine-strong specialist unit and Deputy Head of Internal Auditing at PostFinance. Her duties include joint responsibility for creating the annual risk analysis and annual planning for Internal Auditing.

Isabella Stalder is a certified public accountant and holds an Executive Master’s in Commercial Law for Managers from the University of St. Gallen. She is married, has a daughter and lives in Emmental.

Isabella Stalder has been appointed due to the retirement of Robert Thommen, the current Head of Internal Auditing. The Board of Directors would like to thank Robert Thommen for his many years of commitment to PostFinance and wishes him well as he enters a new chapter in his life.
