The Board of Directors of PostFinance has appointed Sandra Lienhart as the new Head of Retail as of 1 March 2020. In this role, she will be joining the financial provider’s Executive Board. Comprising more than 1,000 employees, the Retail unit is responsible for physical and digital sales, marketing and the Contact Center, and serves around 2.5 million private and 275,000 business customers.

By appointing Sandra Lienhart (1966), PostFinance has gained a personality with proven banking expertise, many years of management experience at C level and a strong affinity for digital business models. From 2004, she worked in various functions at Bank Cler (formerly Bank Coop), including as Head of the Sales Division and Chief Executive Officer. During her time there, she supervised the bank’s rebranding from Bank Coop to Bank Cler and positioned the company as a challenger brand and a digital pioneer in the Swiss banking market. Before joining Bank Cler, she worked in various functions at Credit Suisse, including as Head of the Zurich North market area.

Sandra Lienhart has an Executive MBA ZFH from the University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration Zurich (HWZ) and the University of Virginia Darden School of Business in the US. She will be taking over the Retail unit from Sylvie Meyer, who is taking early retirement at the end of January 2020.
