Sandra Lienhart to become the new Head of Retail
By appointing Sandra Lienhart (1966), PostFinance has gained a personality with proven banking expertise, many years of management experience at C level and a strong affinity for digital business models. From 2004, she worked in various functions at Bank Cler (formerly Bank Coop), including as Head of the Sales Division and Chief Executive Officer. During her time there, she supervised the bank’s rebranding from Bank Coop to Bank Cler and positioned the company as a challenger brand and a digital pioneer in the Swiss banking market. Before joining Bank Cler, she worked in various functions at Credit Suisse, including as Head of the Zurich North market area.
“PostFinance aims to become the number one digital bank in Switzerland,” says PostFinance CEO Hansruedi Köng. “I am delighted that we have been able to recruit Sandra Lienhart, a pioneer of digital banking. With her many years of retail experience and her broad digital expertise, she will make a decisive contribution to the further development and distribution of our digital products and services. This is the basis on which we can give our customers the best possible support as they transition from analogue to digital banking.”
Sandra Lienhart has an Executive MBA ZFH from the University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration Zurich (HWZ) and the University of Virginia Darden School of Business in the US. She will be taking over the Retail unit from Sylvie Meyer, who is taking early retirement at the end of January 2020. The Board of Directors and the Executive Board of PostFinance would like to thank Sylvie Meyer for her great dedication and successful work at the company over many years and wish her all the best as she embarks on the next chapter of her life.
