First-hand accounts – employees talk about their job

  • “The job of a customer advisor is very varied, especially because we advise our customers in all financial areas. Our customers also have the most diverse requirements: you get everything from wealthy entrepreneurs to students sharing a flat. Our core task is to understand their wishes and point them to appropriate solutions. As a manager, it is very important to me to help my staff get ahead. To achieve this, I encourage ongoing training and independent work practices. We cultivate an atmosphere of friendly working relations and an active feedback culture among the team, so that together we can overcome the challenges presented by the current market environment.”

  • “As a customer advisor, you’re generally kept pretty busy. Either we receive orders from the other customer advisors or we support customers directly on the phone. Both are very interesting, but also present me with challenges. One example of this is putting yourself in the customer’s position – even when you can’t see them – and still giving them a satisfactory answer. But despite that – or indeed because of it – I really enjoy my work. I also like the interaction with employees from all units, and especially within our team. I am appreciated by my colleagues and I am given responsibility. My strengths are encouraged and I receive support with my weaknesses, which helps me in my career development.”
