“I believe in you” – making Swiss sporting dreams come true
It has already helped 1,253 sporting dreams come true and new ones are being added all the time – as the main partner of the “I believe in you” crowdfunding platform, PostFinance has been supporting Swiss sport across the board since 2013. An appraisal of what’s been achieved thus far with facts and figures.
Crowdfunding for sporting dreams
They can find support on the “I believe in you” crowdfunding platform. This gives sportspeople the opportunity to present their sporting projects and to raise funds for them over a certain period of time. It’s all about achieving something great together with lots of small or large contributions – whether from an uncle, work colleagues or fans.
The PostFinance Boost is having a real impact
To ensure as many of these projects as possible reach their funding target, PostFinance is lending a hand with the PostFinance Boost. As soon as a project reaches 50 percent of its funding target, PostFinance contributes 10 percent of the target amount, up to a maximum of 200 francs, to the project. As with the other contributions, PostFinance Boost is also only paid out if the project is successfully funded. The financial institution is supporting Swiss sport across the full spectrum through this commitment. This is highlighted by the following facts and figures as at the end of 2018:
PostFinance has already supported 1,253 sporting projects through the PostFinance Boost which has raised funds of over CHF 8.5 million in total.
Over 100 different sports
This means that sporting projects in over 100 different disciplines have received backing, including football, tennis, triathlon, table tennis, equestrian sport, rhythmic gymnastics, extreme obstacle courses, handbiking and Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
Sportspeople from every canton have benefited from PostFinance Boost. With 212 projects implemented, the Canton of Berne tops the list followed by the Canton Zurich with 174 projects and the Canton of Vaud with 98.
