PostFinance – a refreshingly simple way to manage money

PostFinance is one of Switzerland’s leading financial institutions. It offers products and services that appeal to everyone. Our 3 million or so customers frequently come into contact with PostFinance: when making payments in e-finance, with the app or at the checkout, when calling the Contact Center or when receiving advice in one of our branches. Our claim covers all of these areas: PostFinance aims to be refreshingly simple and to make it enjoyable to manage money. We treat everybody we meet with respect, whether in relation to their character, wishes, skills or opinions. Every experience with PostFinance is, in turn, always an experience with our brand.

1906 – Introduction of the post cheque service

When Swiss Post started offering post and girocheque services, the logo lacked a symbol for payment transactions.

1928 – United into PTT

Postal, telegraph and telephone services are merged into the new “Swiss Postal, Telegraph and Telephone Administration” (PTT) – payment transactions are not specifically mentioned.

1970 – “Up to date” with the Postcheque account

Swiss Post advertises its payment transaction services in trendy English. For example, if you have a Postcheque account, you’re “up to date”.

1978 – Cutting edge

Swiss Post captures the spirit of the times with promises of independence in its down-to-earth youth campaign.

1991 – The world of Swiss Post sees yellow

The Postcheque account turns yellow. In keeping with this change, the colour yellow plays a dominant role in advertising. 

2001 – New logo

Swiss Post captures the spirit of the times with promises of independence in its down-to-earth youth campaign.

2003 – Claim and distinctive feature

PostFinance now offers “All about money”. The zebra crossing lines become central to the brand.

2011 – Evolution, not revolution

Swiss Post captures the spirit of the times with promises of independence in its down-to-earth youth campaign.

2014 – When money is easy, life is easy

When your private and professional lives are full of difficult questions, there’s an easy answer for your finances: PostFinance. This is how PostFinance promotes its solutions for card and e-finance payments, as well as its solution for easy financial overviews, for both private and business customers.

2017 – The brand continues to develop

PostFinance redesigns major brand elements regarding its identity to further differentiate itself as a financial institution within Swiss Post Group. A new visual world and fresh video and animation options complement this new look.
